DESIGNED TO BE USED BY ASSISTANCE DOGS
The Model 3000 is specifically designed to be operated by personal assistance dogs. We have tried to simulate most conditions of abuse and handling in order to assure, to the best of our ability, that the desired number will be dialed when the phone is activated by the dog.

SPEAKERPHONE OPERATION
Although the Model 3000 has a handset, it is intended to be used in speakerphone mode. This allows you to use the phone without the need for the dog to bring the phone or handset to you. All that is needed is for the dog to hit the large activation button

PROGRAM YOUR CUSTOM NUMBER TO BE CALLED
When activated, the Model 3000 dials the number that you program into the emergency number memory. This can be any number of your choosing from 911 to a neighbor, etc..

20 DAY BATTERY BACKUP
The phone is supplied with a backup battery that can power the phone up to 20 days in the case of a power outage. This has an additional advantage: you can take the phone on a vacation or a business trip and simply connect it to the data port that is now supplied on most hotel and motel "in-room" phones. There is no need to connect the phone to a power outlet as long as the battery is charged.

LARGE SENSITIVE ACTIVATION SWITCH
The Model 3000 has a large 2 1/2 inch diameter switch which makes it easy for the dog to activate the phone. This switch is very sensitive yet extremely rugged. The switch is located on a plate that completely covers the keypad. This virtually eliminates the possibility of the dog contacting the keypad. The cover, with the switch, can be lifted to gain access to the keypad for programming and conventional dialing.

HIGH CONTRAST BETWEEN PHONE AND ACTIVATION SWITCH
The Model 3000 is a black phone with a large white activation switch. This provides a very high contrast enabling the dog to identify the switch easily.

EXTERNAL SWITCH JACK
A 1/8 inch (3.5mm) jack is located on the phone which allows you to connect a custom switch, such as a floor foot or mat switch, if desired.
